The Adult Training portal can be found at
http://www.scouting.org/myscouting
This is the new access point for e-learning. You will need to create a MyScouting account (using your e-mail address as your login). This account gives you direct access to e-learning (and other options depending on your profile). Have your council number and member ID handy (from your registration card) when creating your account.
From the myscouting portal, you can take basic and supplemental training courses such as:
- This Is Scouting
- Youth Protection Training
- Safe Swim Defense
- Safety Afloat
- Weather Hazards
- Fast Start: Boy Scouting
- Troop Committee Challenge
To earn the "Trained" patch for your uniform, you must complete the following:
Scoutmasters and Assistant Scoutmasters: This Is Scouting, Scoutmaster and Assistant Scoutmaster Leader Specific Training, and Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills.
Troop Committee members: This Is Scouting and the Troop Committee Challenge as their Leader Specific training
All adult leaders are registered as either a Scoutmaster or Assistant Scoutmaster or a Troop Committee member. Check the registration card issued to you.
When you have completed a training course, please email Michael Barnett so that he can update the troop database. To see the adult leader training report from the database, click here. You must be logged in to see the report.
