Troop 345 was awarded a Capital Area Council Contingent Philmont Expedition for 2008
Philmont 624-x-12 Trek dates are June 23 thru July 6, 2008
Eligibility:
- Age 14 by January 2008 (or) have completed 8th grade if age 13.
- Anticipating a higher demand for slots than are available, a troop subcommittee will establish a point system to identify the crew of scouts and adult leaders (emphasis on those that have not yet attended, those that are active participants and contributors to the troop, level of physical/aerobic conditioning, …).
Cost per Participant (budget $1,000+):
- $815 Philmont trek fee & Travel Expenses
- $200 Gear (good quality boots, socks, backpack…)
- Additional costs for training hikes/campouts (exclusive to crew members)
- Initial deposit due beginning August 2007; balance to be paid incrementally
